Symptom

The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a computer's processor (also called a CPU), handles information. The 64-bit version of Windows handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit system.

  1. Select Start and Settings.

  4. Under Device specifications and System type, check for 32-bit or 64-bit Windows.

  1. Right-click the Windows icon.

  2. Select Search.
  3. Another option is to search using the Search icon.

  4. Type system information and then select System Information. The Windows information is under OS Name, Version, and System Type.
